This policy covers notedpad-plus-plus.org and the Notedpad++ editor for macOS. The site is run by Yassin ENNASSIRI. Contact: support@notedpad-plus-plus.org.
Google Search Console verification proves I own this domain. It does not put Google Analytics on the public pages.
What this site does not do
The website does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or account sign-in. It does not sell personal data.
What the browser stores
If you use the dark theme switch, the choice is saved in your browser as notedpad-dark in local storage. That value stays on your device. It is not sent to the server as a tracking cookie.
Server logs
The web server records ordinary request logs (time, IP address, URL, browser type) so the site can stay up and downloads can be served. Logs are used for operations and abuse, not for marketing profiles.
Downloads and updates
Downloading a .dmg is a normal file request. The Mac app may check /updates/classic.json or /updates/systemtheme.json for a newer version. That is a public JSON file. It is not a telemetry pipeline of your documents.
The Mac app
Notedpad++ keeps settings and files on your Mac, including under ~/Library/Application Support/Notedpad++. Your source files stay on your computer unless you choose to share them.
Email, GitHub, Instagram, PayPal
If you email support, I see whatever you send. If you open GitHub, Instagram, or PayPal from this site, those companies process the visit under their own policies. Donations go through PayPal.
Google may crawl public pages for Search. I use Search Console as the site owner. Visitors are not enrolled in an extra Google tracking script on these pages.
Children
The site and editor are not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change.
